WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SESSION FEE? Each session’s details are listed under the “pricing and information” link in the menu bar.
WHAT WE SHOULD WEAR? Clothing suggestions for your session include solids and clothing without words. Keep in mind that bright colors look great and can really pop! When in doubt, bring more clothes! I will help you decide what looks best with the environment we are photographing in.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS? Yes! I would love to photograph more senior sessions! A senior session would be considered a Lifestyle Session.
DO YOU DO LARGE FAMILY PORTRAITS? On occasion I do extended family photos, but they are usually photographed in a traditional manner instead of photojournalistic. There is a per person charge of $25 after the initial session fee which includes up to 4 people.
WHERE SHOULD WE DO OUR SESSION? I love everything from architecture to big open fields, so if you leave the location up to me I will scout for the best locations at that time of year. If you have a special location in mind I am always up for checking out new locations, just let me know.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE SEE FROM OUR SESSION? You will be shown 25-35 of your best images from your session (chosen by me) at our viewing session.
HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE WE GET TO SEE OUR SESSION? I know you will be patiently waiting to see your images and I’ll be excited to show them to you. It will take me approximately 3-6 weeks to sort through and edit your session. When your images are ready, I’ll contact you to set up your viewing session appointment.
WHAT’S THE VIEWING SESSION? The viewing session is where you get to see all the best images from your session. At the viewing session, I’ll help guide you through your images and give my expert advice for what works best for you. Please make sure that all parties responsible for making purchasing decisions are present at your viewing session. Your print or product decisions will be made at the end of your viewing session. Payment is due at this time. Your prints will be ready in 3-6 weeks from the time of your viewing session.
CAN I BUY THE DIGITAL IMAGES FROM MY SESSION? Yes you can. Digital images are very special. When you purchase digital images you also receive a print release to print the images wherever you like. Because every print lab is different I cannot guarantee the print quality of the print lab you choose. My computer is calibrated to my professional print lab. If you plan on making any large prints I highly recommend purchasing them through me.
WHAT DOES THE $300 MINIMUM PRINT ORDER MEAN? The minimum print order means that after you view your session, you will purchase a minimum of $300 worth of prints. Most clients purchase more than this, but this is the minimum amount required to book a session with me.
WHY IS THERE A MINIMUM PRINT ORDER? There is a minimum print purchase because I am a full service photography boutique. This means that I want you to have physical prints or products in your hands and home after our session and I want them to be the BEST possible quality that I can offer. This means that I have them printed through my professional lab and inspect them before they are delivered to you so that you receive the absolute best! I want you to be proud of displaying your family photos in your home!
DO YOU HAVE A REFERRAL PROGRAM? So glad you asked! Yes I do!! I LOVE my clients and it’s the highest form of a compliment when you refer someone to me! So, to say thank you for your referral you will receive a print credit from me when your friends book and pay for their session. Just a little something to say ‘Thanks for being so awesome’
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? Yes, I do. I understand that my photography is an investment and I want you to have custom photography in your home. Just ask me, we can set something up that works for you. The only requirement is the session fee must be paid in full at the time of booking and the remainder of your payment plan is paid in full before your prints are sent to the lab.
WHAT TIME OF DAY WILL WE BE DOING OUR SESSION? Great question! An indoor newborn session is done during the day depending on the light in your home. All other sessions are scheduled about an later in the afternoon depending on time of year. This is the best time of day for lighting and will produce the best images.
DO I REALLY NEED TO FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE? Absolutely! Not only is it our contract, but it helps me get to know your family better. The better you answer the questions the better I can ‘style’ your session and tailor it to fit you! Please take a few extra minutes and fill out all the questions on your questionnaire. I promise, it will be worth it!! Also, since it is our contract please make sure to read it completely.
